B. Expressing exactly what you wanted to say in the way you wanted to say it.
‘Democrats and Republicans are categorized in strict forms and there is little respect between parties. Intellectual humility can help blur the lines.’
C. The place where you felt it was hardest to make yourself understood.
‘As humans we tend to gravitate toward people like my grandpa when we build new relationships.’Throughout this paper, it was very challenging to display my thinking on this subject to an audience. For b, making a statement that I wanted to say and would get my point view across to an audience captivated a lot of time. I ended up choosing a soft, but strong statement in “Intellectual Humility can help blur the lines.” By using specific wording like “Blur” I was able to get my full point across without making any guarantees. This way the audience could fully understand my claim without it being a concrete guarantee. For c, I wanted to display who in my mind, Intellectual Humility embodies as a person. I did this by using my grandfather as an example and I believe it worked well as I was able to explain a lot of his qualities and how they relate to the subject. I wanted to show the audience what Intellectual humility looks like in a real person so they could make that connection to their relationships. Using a personal example was a great way to get my point across.
